This weekend was the first time we had to sit down and talk about the holiday. What with the uncertainty over whether or not we would go coupled with family sickness etc we just haven't had the time to sit down.

Priority for us was chef Mickey breakfast on the first day - Ben gets to meet Mickey and start the holiday with a bang.

On the website trying to find reservations and was given 7.10 or 11.40 as pour only options

It is Easter Saturday, so it will be craaazy busy but even so ! Went for the 7.10 as we will be up at stupid o'clock that day as we will still be on GMT.

Better get cracking with the rest now - really don't like this idea of being tied to an Itinery this far out by dining

Heck I've even seen they are doing fastpasses now for the counter service restaurants - that does NOT bode well

Well thats the question - we are now trying to think.

makes me yearn for the days of walk ups

Do not like the idea of fastpassing burger joints !

Think we definitely want to do Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys in the evening sometime.

May look at a couple of character breakfasts as they are always fun

Is there somewhere in Bay lake tower to eat breakfast other than your room ? Stupid question but I can't find much about it

Given how busy it looks like its going to be we may avoid the Disney parks Easter weekend and start with Seaworld on the Sunday - its nice and big and relaxed and if we are there at gate opening we may get to feed the dolphins ok

Not in Bay Lake Tower AFAIR you'd have to go across to the contemporary via the walkway and go to the contempocafe etc.

And we'd be able to get waffles etc from there?

Is there a place to buy provisions at BLT ?

The only Quick Service I've seen them FP for is BOG. If they've added others this is the first I've heard, and it is a STUPID idea. C'MON Disney.

There is no place to buy provisions in BLT. You can have a drink and a snack type bite to eat in the Top of the World lounge, but that doesn't open until 5:30 pm (I think). It's a great place for viewing the fireworks (music piped in) if you don't want to go to MK. If you go there, and a bald guy is behind the bar, tell Mike you are special guests of mine. :D :D

Be Our Guest, it's the restaurant in Beast's Castle, it's worth it if you can get a reservation. It's the only place you can have dinner with a bottle of wine in the Magic Kingdom. In the evening you get to meet the Beast afterwards for photos :D

Can you get in there if you're not a DVC member?

Hmmmmm... you have a point, Keith. I thought they were letting anyone who was staying there in, but I'll check with Mike to be sure. Will post back here when I find out for sure.

You are correct, Keith. You have to be a DVC member to gain access to the lounge, even if you are a paying guest. :( Sorry for the confusion, but thanks for making sure the suggestion was clarified.

However, all it takes is someone with a DVC membership card to accompany anyone who wishes to go to the lounge. :D :D :D

New Fantasyland...and it's delightful. Just don't make remarks about the size of the Beast. He will hear you. No matter where he is, he will hear you.

He comes to your table, stares at you, growls, and then takes you by the hand and spirits you away!

In my defense...it was the first time I'd met him...and he is REALLY big!

The girls thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen in their lives, and I must admit I was giggling through the whole thing...but he is quite the imposing figure!
