Although I love all sorts of cookies, my all time favorite is sugar cookies with powdered sugar frosting. I could gorge myself on these alllllllll day and not look back once

My mom and I use to make them during the holidays. She cut them out and I frosted. I think I ate more frosting than what got on them. Last year she sent me 3 containers of them and I ate them all in about 4 days. I think all I ate were cookies. :eatcake:

Sadly this year, i have told her no cookies, as I am losing weight. It took everything that i had to say no. Good bye cookies :crywave:

Oh yes! Its lovely and very easy to find in almost every food store in the UK. I have mine tucked away so that no one can touch it until Christmas. Johnie, do you have a recipe for red velvet cake? I hadnt heard of it until I saw it in Sea World. - always looking for ideas!

Foreverducky, it's so hard, isn't it? Those are the cookies that Herself makes so very well. Fortunately they are not my favorite. She and Seth had wicked fun the year he lived with us. :D :D

We can get stollen here in the World Market and in the Fresh Market. I'm always drawn to it, but the melting powdered sugar always turns me off. :sorry:

Remind me! I'm in SC and will forget to post the recipe! Heck, I still owe you all the eggnog recipe!

Be careful with the strufoli, Shellyamc. The more you handle it, the tougher it gets and that's what you want to avoid.

It is definately off the beaten path Julie. But, thanks to a very helpful Subway employee, we were able to find it. Be warned that the actual shop is VERY tiny. I had the cinnamon raisin peanutbutter with cream cheese and Granny Smith apple slices. It was very good. I think Rebecca had the white chocolate and Alysia had the Elvis without the bacon. Jordan got a plain pb&j

Johnie - I made these last night and they are just wonderful!! Dh is hiding them way in the back of the cabinet and has growled at anyone who comes close to his cookies  Everything worked just perfect, but I do have to say it was a bit of a mistake to start them so late at night. I thought that I had time to make one more cookie before bed

So if I had to put a warning on these cookies...it makes like 100,000 so leave plenty of time! When I mixed up that h u g e bowl of dough I was like Oh geez.. :surrender: They are wonderful though..thank you!!:hug2:

It called for the dough to be done by the tsp full and I did more like a full tablespoon (no sense in making tiny cookies with Dh around) and I think I ended up with more than 8 dozen  It was a crazy big bowl of dough :surrender:

That is so funny, DH and my dad both do the growling thing too  I have to make a batch for each of them.
