Because I am a travel agent in the UK I have always just booked it through my company, because I am going to be leaving the company in 8days!!!! (wow thats scary) I am looking at different options. I have seen lots of people talking about cancelling free of charge and prices coming down closer to the time.
I am really confused by all of this because in the UK if the price comes down its basically tough you pay the prce you booked at and if you want to cancel then you pay fees.
I am needing the car from 6th September - 20th September from Sanford. Can anyone tell me where to start with all of this
    thanks
    xx

Ive booked with various places in the past carhire3000.com usrentacar.co.uk etc and theyve both done a price match for me but usrentacar would only do it when booking, with carehire3000.com I booked in may for december and paid only a small deposit. I was due to pay the rest in october I think but when it came to it, I noticed another provider was cheaper. I told them and they changed the amount due to the lower amount even though it was months after booking. So it does happen

Does anyone know if we (in the uk) can book on the USA Alamo website. It's £60 cheaper to book with them compared to the uk version

Just to say I've used usrentacar all over the US and they've been really good and competitive. I think you can pay a small amount to make it a cancel able rate

yep I used usrentacar but for me so far, alamo brits has been even cheaper and of course, usrentacar may put you in alamo anyway (or dollar, same thing)

You don't need one anymore, the Governor of Florida repealed the law requiring all drivers holding a licence issued outside of the USA to hold an International Driving Permit (IDP) on the 3rd April 2013

So it is no longer a requirement for UK licence holders to hold an International Driving Permit when visiting the State of Florida.

I will try it on the 25th and do the pay up front. If it says I need a US address I will just ask a friend if I can use hers. I can just PayPal her the money and she can pay on her card
