How did you find this place? Is the food good? Or are you just drinking? Lol
drinking mainly since we had reservations at the Columbia for later on however we did sample a few of the delights and they were great! A really great place to spend a few hours
will be interested to hear what you think of Columbia
Looks like a place I would want to spend time and money in.
Columbia was brilliant. I know Tink mentioned it can be inconsistent so perhaps I hit it on a good night but it was excellent.
Wendy had very kindly made us a reservation which was lucky because as it turned out it got busy very quickly and there were queues waiting to get in!
We were seated in a lovely booth and given deliciously warm bread. Really nice, not sour dough or anything else. Proper nice bread
We had potato/cheese/chicken croquettes for a starter which were mouth wateringly tasty.
Then DW had the pork and I had a special filet mignon dish with a wonderful bourbon sauce. "Filet Mignon "Chacho"
In the memory of the spirit of our great uncle Evelio "Chacho" Hernandez, youngest son of the founder. This is our best selling center cut filet mignon with a rich sauce of bourbon, shallots, and mushrooms. Flambeéd tableside with a shot of the world's finest bourbon, Booker Noe. Served with roasted potatoes and vegetables. "
Loved the tableside flambeé, always good fun to see your meal set on fire as it's given to you really was expertly done
The steak was well done, as I requested, but yet very tender and the whole thing melted in the mouth. The sauce was beautiful and I can imagine thinking hmmm I have to go back just for that taste.
Of course the price was actually less than a very average meal at some of the disney restaurants would be!
So wonderful surroundings, great food, great service and value. definitely recommended.
sadly the movie theatre at celebration is closed at the moment so that was the only shame. We'd really liked to have tried there before the meal

I think the cinema is closed for good Keith and there is talk of it being a dinner theme show type thing..
Prices off site is why we recommend to our guests to eat off site, as on site is so expensive now
We asked a couple of shops who said they'd heard it was closed for just two weeks but hmmmm it looked awfully empty for that kind of timescale. I suspect you may well be right

Glad you enjoyed that flambe steak Keith, however when we went there a few weeks ago, try as he may, our server couldn`t get the flames going so I just told him to pour the liquer over the steak! Yum.

Looks like a pretty tasty menu Terry. Donna and I rarely eat off site. Maybe sometime when we are all down there at the same time we can do so. I know that one time we were looking to meet Ricky and his wife for an off site dinner and he forgot and booked something else that evening.

We would never have known about it if we hadn't been with Terry and Sue Terry seems to know all the best places to eat
