Guests can join in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Oscar-winning film “The Lion King” this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during “Harambe Nights,” an evening entertainment and dining experience.

A 55-minute theatrical extravaganza, “The Lion King Concert in the Wild” comprises celebrity narrators, a live orchestra, choir and special effects to present the story of Simba’s coming of age like never before. A lively welcome reception and the post-show street party featuring Afro-pop rhythms, performers and a buffet of culinary creations keep the celebration rocking through the evening.

    Celebrity narrators in July are:
    • Michael Beach – July 5
    • Harry Lennix – July 12
    • Joe Morton – July 19
    • Alfre Woodard – July 26
General admission tickets for Harambe Nights run $119 ages 10 and up; $79 ages 9 and under.

Premium floor seating tickets run $134 ages 10 and up; $94 ages 9 and under.

The event runs Saturdays from 7-10:30 p.m., and parking is complimentary.
To reserve tickets for Harambe Nights, guests can visit Disneyworld.com/HarambeNights or call 407-939-1319.

I'm sure it's an amazing experience, but those prices are insane!

For a one off I'd pay to go. There is only the 2 of us though. It's silly money if there are a lot of you.

You know what? I think I probably would too ;-)
I just don't like how many of these 'hard ticket' events seem to be cropping up now.

There does seem to be a lot, do you remember talk a long time ago about having things for adults only for a separate ticket event. I do wonder if Disney are thinking that if it is bought in for other things then it won't look too bad if they charge extra for a "adults only experience"

I know 3 of them, Michael Beach was in Stargate Atlantis and The Client List, I didn't know his name, I just recognised his face, so I had to look him up

Harry Lennix is in The Blacklist.

    Joe Morton is in Scandal.

I have no idea who Alfre Woodard is.

Alfre Woodard has been in so many things! She was most recently in 12 Years a Slave. [IMG]

Was just thinking the same thing. Once I googled, I recognized the faces, but they didn't come readily to mind...
