Child age for adult airfare

    At what age does a child become an adult for air fare purposes?

    Helping Steve and Lisa with their number crunching and Ellie will be 12 next August. :unsure:

    It's 12 Dawn. If Ellie turns 12 while you are they,you have to phone Virgin and they may increase the price slightly.

    I'm pretty sure children ages 12 and over pay full adult fare.

    you can get package deals upto 17 dawn but usually 2-11 on VA is a child fare 12+ for adults

    its normally a teen price they charge dawn i'll check my confirmation as chloe will be 13 next year

    just checked dawn and they charged chloe teen price but its still the same as child price

    however as has been said, the difference between the childs ticket and the adults is almost none existant

    Only VH give teen prices one one else has them but they are normally dearer than our IT fares anyway.

    Children must be 11 on the return journey if the turn 12 before the return then they are classed as adults.
