    Hi :)

How good are the concierge rooms? Are they worth the large extra fees involved?

We're thinking about the polynesian and have heard the concierge buildings are a lot better than the normal ones

aha so you are staying at the Poly. Lucky you! I hear the concierge is wonderful there. The concierge buildings usually have snacks and soda/water out several times a day. A lot of people seem to like that.

I think the Poly is one of the better ones, they really can vary from resort to resort. Some of them seem to have concierge rooms that close completely out of hours where as others allow you to get in and get some drinks and so on.

I know that the BC doesn't get great reviews for its concierge but when you go to check in and get upgraded for FREE, oh my is it worth it

mm the poly concierge. We stayed there Christmas 2002. The staff couldn't have cared less tbh. It was a struggle for them to have a conversation with us when we stood in front of them!

That said our room was really good with a great view and i would stay there for that and the location.

The food offerings were very good but because most people are out in the parks most of the day it may not be worth factoring that in. If you just want to chill then maybe but i would just want to go out to dinner in one of the disney restaurants.

this is the view from our room, we were ground floor lagoon view

Ooooh, nice view. Thanks for the review Britchick. I'm always a little suspicious when all the reviews are totally rave. No one place can be perfect, eh?

That is one fantastic view. I have to say though and even though i havn't been in The Poly, so i am be totally wrong, it looks a bit worn down and shack like to me.

    That view is stunning though.

That's what I always think about the Poly :/ kinda run down. We stayed there and had the same experience as BC did.

We`ve considered Concierge but in our case it didn`t seem worth the extra $$$`s.

On vacation I usually go for a cooked breakfast so I`d skip the continental "free" one on offer.
In addition if we snacked too much in the afternoon [which would be a temptation], the chances are that it would spoil our dinner which is one meal that we really enjoy.
I doubt whether the concierge services would be much use to us also seeing as we would normally make our ADR`s way in advance of our trip [and those we need later can be made courtesy of some CM friends of ours ], so all in all it`s not for us.

i think it's outdated too, i think there is a lot they could do to bring it up to date.
