I had a back massage booked in, and because Jess' treatment was an hour and half I would have been waiting around a long time so it made sence to make the most of the time, plus I had no time to worry about it.

I'm glad I did it that way.

I am not sure what I was worried about and would recommend it.

You know? I don't really know too much about the day spas here. I often think I should start giving them a try though. I know there are many, so choosing would be either fun, or a stressor. :D

My limited research suggests there are spa's more reasonably priced and ones which are ridiculously cheap in comparrison with Disney.

However, I think we're going for the one at the Swan & Dolphin (or also known as Duck & Tuna) as it's open later in the evening (which fits our schedule better) and also currently has 30% off (voucher on their website).

I don't find massages particularly relaxing- I guess it's the thought of someone else pummelling my wobbly bits! I prefer things like Indian head massages and reflexology.

Ohhhh I love a massage. It was the idea that it would be weird having a stranger touch me that put me off having tried it for years and years. But I tried a chair massage at the fair of all places. Fantastic!!

I used to get massages pretty regularly but that was due to a massage school being in my old work building and the students needed practice hours. They only charged $20 for an hour massage.

I think Jess is getting worried with me as I keep mentioning this lol.

I've emailed a local spa as well just to see how they compare with Disney given how much Disney charge.

    Scary prices lol

They are pricey ventures. There used to be a massage school off Colonial, near Fashion Square Mall. That's a trek from WDW though, and not something I'd bother doing.

There are a few in and around Lake Buena Vista.

I just want to make sure I contact a professional place rather than a not so professional place. Not sure how i'd explain that to Jess :D

I'll probably stick to Disney anyway :)

We have gone for Swan & Dolphin.

Spoke to them last night and we're booked in for half way through our holiday. It's a 'shopping' day so at least it gives me something to look forward to lol.

uuurgh, the idea of someone touching me makes my blood run cold - far too self concious to have one unless I'm allowed to wear a burkha
