UPDATE - The rehab will begin in January 2015. It will begin with the cabanas. It is a soft rehab; painting, carpets, new vanities. They want a lighter look.

I hope they don't spoil the look.

When we were in Mexico we kept saying it felt like we were back at Coronado Springs. They had it spot on. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Still the interiors won't hurt getting new stuff I guess.

And it is brilliant website I used this website for our first trip.

I wonder if there is something similar for AKL?

We stopped at CSR last trip and must say how dissapointed I was with it. It's just too big.

Lots of people said the same. It is our favourite resort but will be interesting to see what we think of AKL

All the mods are big except for POFQ. But its not terrible. Would you be surprised that it only takes 6 min, 48 secs to walk from ranchos to front of resort?

Is it that quick? Must be the way I walk lol

Seriously though, when you've spent a long day in the parks the last thing I want to do is get my mug and walk miles to the drinks machine (which I had to do last time as we were on the oposite site of the lake).

I suppose I was spoilt by stopping at Wilderness lodge previously.

We were right next door to the main building at CSR, but I thought I read that they have an internal shuttle system. Do they not?

CSR has a relatively new internal bus. It is the bus that goes to Blizzard beach. It stops at all bus stops, heads to BB, and then returns to do it all over again. You can refill at the main pool as long as Siestas is open.

Lol. Some rooms at WL or any deluxe for that matter can be a far walk too if you are out in the wings of the resort.

When we were at CSR, if a CM went past in a cart they would give guests a lift. :)

Yes, CM's will do that but its not official. They used to have an official courtesy cart service but it generated more complaints than it was worth so it was stopped. Conventions can also pay to have it added for their guests.
