The Silver Creek Springs Pool at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be closed for refurbishment from 3rd September to the 27th November 2014.

The pool at The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will remain open during this time. Guests will also be able to use either the Main Pool at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Complimentary transportation will be provided to both of these resorts.

A lot of people on other forums arn't happy with this and have complained to Disney.

I understand that it's disruptive etc but surely when you book a trip to the world you understand it's unlikely that everything you want to use will be running especially in the off season.

There is a second pool at WL isn't there?

There is a very lovely pool at the DVC area of the WL.
As long as you know the pool is under refurbishing when you make your reservations, there shouldn't be a problem. If you have already made your reservations, and then this crops up during your stay, I can see people getting upset. I've heard that Disney will change resorts for you in those situations, if asked. Not sure if it's true, or idle rumor, but it would be nice if they did.

You are right Tink, Disney have been known to move Guests to different hotels if they booked before the refurbishment was announced. I would suggest people contact their TA or Disney reservations.

Yes, I imagine it would DF. Then, of course you'll have the DVC members howling. :sigh:

    Thanks, Wendy!

The main pool at Wilderness Lodge is lovley. I do like the way it starts in the lobby and works it's way down to the pool.

My all time favourite resort :)
