On Friday, Disneyland Resort officials announced they would increase prices for single-day tickets and season passes for the second time in less than a year. The new prices affect both the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks.

Disneyland last raised single-day ticket prices and annual pass fees on June 12.

    The one-day, one-park pass goes from $80 to $87.

Starting Sunday, visitors will pay $21 more than they did four years ago for a single-day pass to either park, and $46 more than 11 years ago when there was only the Disneyland park; California Adventure opened in 2001.

This year's $7 hike is on par with annual changes over the past decade: Disney has boosted prices between $2 and $7 annually over that time.

"A Disneyland Resort ticket offers a tremendous value for guests to experience our world-class attractions, and is based on the quality experience we consistently deliver," said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman, in a statement. "Like all business, we periodically evaluate and adjust our pricing structure to ensure we are offering a great entertainment value."

Disney has four types of annual passes.

The prices of the passes increased by as much as $150, to $649 for the Premium pass, which allows visitors access to the park for 365 days and covers parking; or by as little as $60, to $329 for the Southern California pass - specifically for Southern California residents allowing access to both parks for 215 pre-selected days.

The Deluxe pass - allowing visitors access to both parks for 315 pre-selected days – increased by $90, to $469. The Southern California Select pass - specifically for Southern California residents allowing access to both parks for 170 pre-selected days – increased $70, to $269.

Deluxe passholder Marisa Alvarez of San Pedro said she expected prices to rise with the June 15 opening of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street in California Adventure.
