No construction has started in the Great Ceremonial House yet (that can be seen). Captain Cook's is still open but the Wyman Gallery is no longer there. About half the parking lot is closed for construction. The section closest to the TTC is being used for dirt and land fill while the middle section of main parking is under construction.... Maybe for a new entry point. I have attached below pictures of the new bungalows over Seven Seas Lagoon. Do you think they'll be more expensive as they are newer? Or, given that GF is the diamond in the tiara, a touch less because of that?

Well they look quite exclusive, they are bungalows on a platform over the water with a view of the castle :)

Is Bay Lake Tower the same price as GF? My guess is the Poly will be the same price as GF.

I have a feeling VGF are $155 and BLT are $165 per point

DF, wow! Great photos!! Thanks for sharing them with us! I'll miss the gallery, I loved wandering through and looking at all the lovely art.

The bungalows look amazing, though. I think this is the most tempted I've ever been by the DVC...

This is definitely the most unique DVC yet. I'm also curious how they are going to reconfigure the two longhouses into DVC rooms. It also sounds like they are changing the resort name back to The Polynesian Village.

hmm if the car park is half closed, I dont rate our chances of getting parked easily for the luau :/ it's hard enough at the best of times. I guess there's the ttc ;/

yeah I guess so! that may well be the best way of doing it given the circumstances. Should REALLY be free by all rights since we have tables in wonderland and are technically going to a restaurant(ish) LOL

Is TIW still in effect? I know they are not continuing that program, but I don't know when it officially ends.

Keith, we had an ADR at Kona's on Friday night (5pm) and we had no problem parking. We arrived at 4:15 and all they did was check my DL and our name for the reservation and then let us through to park. No time limit either.

I can't wait to see it finished, I may even be tempted to stay at the Poly again if the bungalows are silly prices :)

Well it would certainly have to be an improvement over what we once experienced, eh Wendy? Herself had long loved the Polynesian, but the hype did not live up the experience at all.

Maybe once it's all said and done we'll give it another try.
