Has anyone with a 4gee connection in the UK been able to use their 4G connection in Florida and if so how stable / how fast was it?

I used to buy a EE sim out there with a dataplan but now I have a contract phone which is locked presumably to EE in the UK. I won't be purchasing a local sim anymore. Plus my contract includes the USA in my airtime and messages. A matter of curiosity that's all.

EE are affiliated with AT&T and T-Mobile in the USA. AT&T have just invested a fortune in new cell towers, so their reception should be awesome now.

I've used T-Mobile on both a locally-bought PAYG and using roaming on my own phone and it has been one of the best out there.

Either way, you should be fine. :)

Excellent! which EE plan do you have with USA airtime/messages included? Does it include data allowance too?

I have the 4gee extra package. £42.99/month for 4GB of data in the UK.

    http://explore.ee.co.uk/4gee-extra-plans-roaming-benefits

Data isn't included but is available for purchase when abroad at a discounted rate. 1gb for £25.

However i've just checked the website and this has all changed again ? Blinking corporate telecomms companies. I hope they haven't changed my plans now! :(

I was with EE before three and all I'd say is... check before you go out there and use it. They have a nasty habit of changing things and then denying all knowledge.

They're also looking into it on Twitter since I put out a public tweet.
