Aw I'm jealous! My lovely three year old macbook pro decided to give up the ghost and die on me! Three years old I tell you!!

More to repair than to buy a new one!!

If it wasn't for the WDW hold next year I'd buy a new one straightaway!

Yep was tempted by the MacBook air but decided in the end that the 11 inch was too small, I use a 13 inch net book at work and that's fine size wise so decided to get the pro.

I did think about the 15 inch but I'm mainly going to be using this for laptop things ...work, Internet, no games, maybe screening photos but no editing. The money it would have cost will go towards the mac jon wants to buy. When do you reckon there'll be new ones out?

I think iwork is SOOOO much better than office and its very compatible BUT for the ultimate in compatibility, you can't beat office :/

I'd say 95% of office docs I get sent open just fine in iwork though

    :yeahthat:

But iWork is sooooo much more polished!

Check out the Pages (iWork Word replacement) overview video for some examples. There's also overviews for Numbers (Excel replacement) and Keynote (PowerPoint replacment).

But... to be perfectly honest, I've got both. Just for that other 5% of the time Keith mentioned.

Tom :)macwave:... if it weren't for that darned 5%!)

I've got both but stopped updating my version of Office ages ago as I hardly ever use it now. iWork is just fantastic and really is just soooo much more polished and 'nice' to use.. especially when you consider it is much cheaper than office!
