    not even if it's cooked? i keep thinking i may try the cooked version, then i just get scared!

    Mairead it sounds disgusting . Hot,cold,tepid, frozen. Drinking eggs it's not right.

    shall I? it would be something a bit different to offer to my family when they come for Christmas Day tea wouldn't it - do I have to make it on the day or can I do it the day before?

    I like to make some on Christmas Eve and chill it overnight. :) Have a practice run before then though. :D

    ok - i might do then. If i make a plain one can i just stir in some brandy when i serve it, just thinking of the drivers.

    It certainly wouldn't!

    Let me know if you make some and what you think of it. :)

    In the meantime I'm going to check and see if my local M&S sells it in cartons, although it probably won't taste as delicious as homemade. :)

    yes, i will. I'm sure i saw the recipe in one of christmas magazines (I keep the ones i like 'cos they're so, well, Christmassy!) - i'll see if i can find it.
