Many folks really liked the wand. I prefer the original, but that is because it is what I knew first and longest.

I thought the wand looked a bit too carnival for EPCOT. But again, that's my opinion and many others loved it.

I saw it first without and prefer it I think. Epcot was always supposed to be a more educational type of park, away from the glitz and glamour.

definitely more "right" without the wand, but I can't help it, I like the epcot ball with the wand and I like the mk castle with the christmas lights :)

I never did like the wand much so I'm glad it's gone. I guess I just love it the classic way.

Loved the wand...really sad now that it's gone. I know EPCOT is supposed to be way toned down on the Disney touch that is so obvious in the other parks...but really...How much does it hurt to know you are in a Disney park?

I did like the wand and had no problem with it while it was there but seeing the ball 'naked' again last year I must say I prefer it that way :D

I like the plain sphere at EPCOT. :) It's the way I first saw it in 1981 before the park opened.
