The only people who have to still complete the green forms are those who elect to complete the esta and are travelling before 12 January 2009.

Thereafter the green forms are obsolete and the online esta will be compulsory.

if you don't have access to computer then you would have your TA log it for you, because based on that info, you would probs have bought your ticket from an agent as you don't have access to the net .....

However, to be honest, agents, in my opinion, should be offering to process applications for their clients anyways....... it is a customer service they should be providing.

so really if you are travelling before january, its a waste of time filling in the online esta, as you still have to fill in the green form

    weeeeelllllll lol

The theory is that your time actually being seen by the immigration officer will be less..... your actual time waiting will not be that much reduced, unless the majority of your flight have also elected to register online.... then your wait time will be greatly reduced.

    Does that make sense?

So, we go in December and come back January, am I right in thinking that it wouldn't be to our advantage to fill it in for us?

it is not required that you complete it. However, I would believe by december the majority of passengers will have enrolled in the programame, because once approved, it is approved for 2 years, and all you have to do consequently is to go online and modify the flight and accommodation information.

So if my presumptions are correct, then it will be a quicker immigration process, but it is your choice, you will not be made to do it should you not want to.... this time ;)
