FairFX is a great new way to buy your US Dollars in advance of your holiday.

You order a card and load it with a minimum of $20. You can then use the card on holiday without worrying about carrying cash or huge credit card bills when you get back home.

You'll get a great and guaranteed exchange rate at the time you add money to the card so even if the rate goes down later you'll be safe!

You can add money over time to card to save up holiday money knowing that you're secured against the rate going worse.

A GREAT way to do things is to order two cards. Then if you did lose one card, you can tell FairFX who can cancel the lost card and transfer the funds over to your spare card.

Normally the cards cost £9.95 but FairFX are offering the cards free to Disney Secrets members who use our special link by clicking HERE

We think this is a really great way to take holiday money and the rates are typically MUCH better than normal (eg. Today 31st July 2009, the fairfx rate is 1.65 !)

We've just gone through and got some whilst at $1.65 per pound! Well pleased with that. Really quick and easy and I noticed they do euros too which will mean we'll use them for Disney Paris as well.

We'll keep adding money to the cards as and when we can afford to

    great offers thanks

It might be time to put some money on them

You can use them anywhere like a credit or debit card.

I've just copied this from their site:

    So it's like a pre-paid Mastercard.

Has anyone actually used one of these in Orlando?

I'm extremely tempted to get one instead of carrying travellers checks but I need to know they work first.

Apparently FairFx are the best for being able to use them everywhere etc. I'm getting a couple for our next trip  I think we'll put half on one, half on the other and keep photocopies of the numbers for them both so if we do lose one we can have the balance transferred to the one that's safe

I'm tempted but a little wary as never heard of them before. What happens if you lose your card - is it like Amex TCqs that you get them replaced? Also are your funds 'safe'....what is the financial position of this Company??

Yeah they've been around a few years, all properly accredited etc and they've got an extremely good reputation  It's a PLC and has to be licensed by HMRC.

There's a lot more info on their site including what they do about lost cards etc..
