****All information is subject to change as Disney is in the process of testing FastPass+**** Disney is currently in the process of converting its FASTPASS system at Walt Disney World Resort to an enhanced level with the introduction of FastPass+. Rather than rushing around the parks trying to gather FASTPASS tickets, imagine booking guaranteed ride times for your favorite shows and attractions even before setting foot in the park. With FastPass+, guests will be able to reserve times for their favorite attractions, shows and more with the enhanced FastPass+ system. Currently, as FastPass+ is being rolled out, the older paper FASTPASS system (also known as "Legacy" FASTPASS) is also in use at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney FASTPASS+ Big Changes Coming with FastPass+?The new Disney FastPass+ service will allow guests to lock in some of their must-do attractions and show experiences, therefore allowing guests to essentially "eliminate the wait" at some of Disney's most popular attractions, in advance through My Disney Experience before ever leaving home. Disney FastPass+ service allows guests to schedule certain park attractions, character meet and greets, and quick-service restaurants, as well as arrange the opportunity to experience certain entertainment options from private viewing locations. These entertainment options will include fireworks, parades and shows. Guests must have purchased theme park tickets in advance to make advance selections, and you must have a My Disney Experience account set up to use FastPass+. (If you previously have a login on any Disney site, that will work for your account on the My Disney Experience site and app. If you have never logged into a Disney site before, it's very easy to set up!) Guests who currently have Magic Your Way tickets will be able to schedule up to 3 FastPass+ experiences at one park per day (although this may change over time as Disney refines the system). FastPass+ selections can be made for each day you possess a valid theme park ticket. Guests will be able to choose the times they wish to experience the 3 attractions they have picked. Guests will also have the opportunity to choose either the same FastPass+ options for everyone in their party at once or they can choose each person's options individually. Over 60 rides, shows, parades, and meet & greets will be included in FastPass+ and there is no charge to use the FastPass+ system. Each FastPass+ selection will designate an arrival window for an attraction, restaurant location or entertainment experience. The FastPass+ selection is not valid before or after the designated arrival window or at any other FastPass+ location. While attractions usually offer a one-hour arrival window, shows and entertainment may require you to arrive during a more specific timeframe. In addition, You can only make FastPass+ selections for one park per day. You may only select and redeem a FastPass+ selection for a particular attraction, entertainment or restaurant experience once per day. Guests will be able to access their FastPass+ selections through the use of an innovative piece of technology called the MagicBand which is worn on the wrist. This band will also serve as a guest’s room key, theme park ticket, Photo Pass Card and optional payment account all rolled into one. To take advantage of your FastPass+ reservation, guests will need to proceed to the FASTPASS queue entrance and touch their MagicBand or card to a sensor known as a Mickey reader touch point. Initially, the MagicBand will be available only to Walt Disney World hotel guests, Annual Passholders and guests who purchase other specific products such as a Photo Pass Package Other guests will be able to use their standard ticket to access the benefits of My Magic+, such as making FASTPASS+ selections on My Disney Experience. A number of attractions will offer FastPass+. The following attractions have FastPass+ entrances and readers: • Magic Kingdom ? Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ? Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin ? For Wishes, guests will stand in the Rose Garden area to the right of Cinderella Castle. A center section is reserved for Fantasmic! over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and at Epcot, IllumiNations viewing is in the "Showcase Plaza" area in between the two gift shops - one of the best places to watch the show. For guests who don’t know where to start, Disney will recommend FastPicks – a set of FastPass+ selections that serve as a starting point – and give guests the option to customize their selections. The system will then return up to 4 groups of availability from which to pick - early, mid day, late, or all day. Like the existing FASTPASS system, guests will not be able to hold more than one FastPass+ selection for any hour window in which they already hold a selection. Additionally, FastPass+ does not accommodate those who hold Park Hopper Tickets with the ability to select attractions at a second park in a single day. Guests must choose all the FastPass+ selections from one park. Lastly, those guests who entered the park with a ticket linked to My Disney Experience by using a MagicBand or RFID card will not be able to use the Legacy FASTPASS system to obtain FASTPASS tickets. You may make FastPass+ selections for yourself, your Managed Friends, and your Connected Friends through a new Disney.com feature called Family and Friends that acts like a mini social network. To make a FastPass+ selection for you or your Friends, you must retrieve a Resort package reservation on Disneyworld.com including valid park admission through your account or associate valid park admission to your account. Your RF Device is the key to redeeming your Disney FastPass+ selections; just pass it near the FastPass+ Mickey reader at the entrance of the ride or attraction. Those with older non-RFID tickets will have to convert them to an RFID ticket or MagicBand before they can be associated to a 'My Disney Experience' account and to be able to use them with the FastPass+ system. Once guests arrive, they can use either their smart phones or kiosks that are distributed throughout the parks to spontaneously change their plans in the moment, even once the FastPass+ arrival window begins. Should an attraction be closed during your FastPass+ window, those with the My Disney Experience mobile app loaded on their phones can be notified. Depending upon the time of day the closure occurs, guests will get one of two options. If the closure happens early in the day, the guest will be offered a list of up to eight alternative FastPass+ experiences at the same park on the same day. If the original selection closes late in the day, guests may select any FastPass+ experience at any park for the following day. Guests will not be able to wait for the attraction to reopen and then use an expired FastPass+ as they did with the old paper FASTPASS system. Of course, guests will be able to opt out of these notifications if they so desire, but their existing FastPass+ will still be canceled for any ride that goes down during their ride window. Currently, FastPass+ kiosks that allow guests to view and modify only their FastPass+ reservations are located at the following locations: • Magic Kingdom: Adventureland Breezeway (near the Diamond Horseshoe), near the exit of Mickey's Philarmagic, Near Pete's Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus, Town Square Theater FASTPASS distribution, Mickey's PhilharMagic FASTPASS distribution, Splash Mountain FASTPASS distribution, near queue of Stitch’s Great Escape • Epcot: Tip Board near Spaceship Earth, Near the Epcot Character Spot, International Gateway, FutureWorld West breezeway, Mission: SPACE FASTPASS distribution, Soarin' FASTPASS distribution • Disney's Hollywood Studios: Tip Board, Voyage of The Little Mermaid, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror • Disney's Animal Kingdom: Disney Outfitters, Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl, Expedition Everest FASTPASS distribution MyMagic+ kiosks that allow guests to access the entire 'My Disney Experience' web site are available in the lobbies of many resorts, as well as at Town Square Theatre in the Magic Kingdom, the former location of Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind at entrance plaza of Disney's Hollywood Studios, Creature Comforts at Animal Kingdom park and at Guest Relations in all theme parks and Downtown Disney. While Disney is currently testing the new FastPass+ system, their may be additional RFID card readers and FastPass+ entrances that may not be noted on this page or may not currently be in use. The old system had 28 and FastPass+ has over 60. All info here will be updated once final systems are in place. Once Disney does institute FastPass+, it is expected that the current Legacy FASTPASS system discussed below will be eliminated and all guests will be able to access FastPass+ either online or at special kiosks in the parks. The new FastPass+ system will also work in conjunction with the My Disney Experience Mobile App introduced by Disney last year.
