The Magic Kingdom will no longer distribute paper FastPasses from the 14th January 2014.

This will mean that only FastPass+ will be available.

Guests visiting Walt Disney World who have MagicBands and valid theme park tickets attached to their My Disney Experience accounts will be able to book their FastPass+ experiences up to 60 days in advance using the My Disney Experience app or DisneyWorld.com.

Guests that are staying off site, visiting for the day or do not have a MagicBand will only be able to make their FastPass+ selections on the day at the kiosks inside the Park.

FastPass+ kiosks are located in the following locations:
    • Adventureland Breezeway
    • City Hall Guest Relations
    • Mickey’s PhilharMagic
    • Splash Mountain FASTPASS machines
    • Storybook Circus in the very back at the Dumbo and Barnstormer FASTPASS machines
    • Tomorrowland
    • Town Square Theater

Hmm, not happy at being to restricted to just 3 a day. We love to park hop and queuing does not appeal :(

I'm still hoping that Disney will pull this out of the tailspin it seems to be descending into...

Either way, it's the end of an era...makes me a bit wistful I think.

Unfortunately that's the way the testing has been (limit of 3 fast passes in only 1 park). They even implemented a tiering system in all but MK. The 2nd tier didn't even need fast passes

Back in Nov, we waited in ridiculous FP+ lines. The other issue I've got is that everything has a FP now. I think the wait times are being inflated on purpose

ok, now I said I was in favour of onsite guests getting more than offsite but surely this move will simply make it almost impossible for offsite guests to get any decent time on a fastpass :/

Now, with my AP and no disney reservation, I think I CAN make 60 day out fastpass+ which is something :/

There is talk about limiting how many fast passes an AP holder can get in a certain time frame.

I will not wait in line for a long time due to an old back injury, ok when walking but not standing still. This could spell the end to visits for me especially if there are no slow times

Give it some time. They are still testing and who really knows what the end result is going to be. I don't think they even know.

This really is starting to sound like the dining plan. If you don't make your ADR's 180 days out, in all probability you won't get one. I'm afraid that's going to be the case also with the FP+ for the guests who aren't staying on property.

While we always stay onsite, I think I'd still prefer a bit more equity.

Tom ( :macwave:... wait time from this point. 3 days, 18 hours, 34 minutes. Have a magical day!)

To be honest, we've not had a fastpass in years. We don't do that many rides and because we're only ever in the parks at nighttime, we tend to do the popular rides during parades or fireworks.

Still, it sounds bad :( and even onsite/AP, I don't want to plan my days to this level of detail and of course, since other people will, it means if I DONT then my experience will be that much less good.

I mean ADRs, Ride passes... which pretty much determines when we get there, when we leave and what we do in between :/ pretty soon they'll be wanting to know the route from ADR -> ride and prebooking restroom stops!

If is the way things are going then in all honesty I don't think I want to play. Really, I know a holiday needs a bit of planning but this is now coming down to the nth detail for everything and it's not what a holiday should be about.
