well..... *worth* it is a subjective thing really isn't it? honestly, it's a very expensive luxury in my opinion but I must admit to loving being able to see the castle and wishes from the balcony etc.

Worth it? not for the money really but fantastic if you want to treat yourself, yep definitely :)

I think I'd like to do that for my next birthday where my age ends with a '0'.

I've always wanted to and it'd be nice to cross it off my bucket list.

    I really can't decide.

I can do the contemporary castle view for 3 days.... the first day we arrive, the next day is luau, the next evening is the halloween party. That would be nice, gentle walk back to the contemporary but then we tend to park there anyway so the only difference is a quick trip back to the villa v up to the room and watch the castle change colours.

Wilderness lodge is about the same price for 5 days

    Just ... dunno

I have to choose The Contemporary. We loved staying there in the main building. We had a lake view room, and watching the nightly Electrical parade from our balcony was such a treat!
We also really enjoyed the food. We found breakfast at The Wave fantastic with a great, relaxed atmosphere. Even the quick service at Contempo Cafe had a wide variety of options.
Finally, being able to just WALK to MK and back became such a plus when leaving the park at closing, no running to get out, or stand in line forever for a bus or even for the monoriel. I really enjoyed that "perk"
I think my only complaint is that it NEEDS more guest elevators, because elevators are usually full with people going to Chef Mickey's or getting off the monoriel, checking at the California Grill, etc... and when you are coming back from the pool at 9pm wet and wearing a swimsuit it makes for an interesting ride ;)
