Errant sparks from fireworks caused a small blaze on the roof of the new Little Mermaid attraction in MK on Thursday. Disney officials said some of the sparks fell on the artificial foliage of the ride and caught fire. The fire was put out with extinguishers, and no evacuations were necessary. Further, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

One of the tours we went on showed us the sprinklers on the roofs of the MK attractions to try and cut down on this problem. Apparently before they got them in place, fires were pretty routine almost every week.

This explains the huge puddles round by philharmagic etc. a while before the fireworks start

I've always wondered why there were puddles everywhere.
