Playing with Google maps today and was strolling through The Crossroads (as you do) and came across a place called Fuddruckers.

Does anyone know what a Fuddruckers is and is it any good?

All I know is that they sell burgers and food like that. We were going to go to one a few years ago but there wasn't anyone in there so we changed our minds  I think it was in Festival Bay.

I think John and Donna have been to Fudruckers.

Yes, it's a burger place. It's nothing to get excited about. There are some folks who really like it, but meh... if you've seen one burger joint, you've seen them all. The name puts me off. I know that's silly, but it does.

If you want a good burger go to Bone Fish. :D :D (Seriously! ).

Yep. Burger joint. It used to be a decent burger. But it's gone downhill over the years. At least the one we've got up here has. Pretty much a big "so what" now.

    Tom :)macwave:... mmmm.... burgers! :homer:)

Used to love Fuddrucker's for the freshness of their burgers and steak sandwiches. All of them in area are now closed and have been for sometime. Want a good burger go to 5 Guys.

A new one has opened not far from your villa along US 192 W.
[Take lake Wilson , turn left on the 192 and it`s on your right after around 3-4 miles.]

Love 5 Guys and their fries are to die for too. I'm picky about fries but I go out of my way to get these.

Definitely Five Guys unless someone has a nut allergy as the fries are cooked in peanut oil.

Our friends are really upset they can't try them, their eldest has a nut allergy. It seems a strange choice of oil to use

They also have big boxes of peanuts in the restaurants that are free to eat while you are waiting and signs asking you not to remove them from the premisis because of the allergy problem.

Peanut oil is probably the very reason that the fries are good

Peanut oil lets them fry at a higher temperature, and cook quicker.

I don't like their fries at all though. :sorry:

Same here...aw...just thinking about Alysia and Alex being young....:sorry: where did the time go?

We used to go all the time...was the usual stop after youth soccer and such. They did a lot of special nights where non profits were given a % of sales as a way to raise funds if you mentioned that when ordering. It was ok. They have a big fixins bar where you can add all kinds of stuff to the burger. They used to make their own rolls and grind their own meat.

Johnie I think we still have one in the region...in Virginia Beach. Haven't been since Alex was playing U9....Yikes...13 years ago!!!:sorry:

Oh stop by the museum and I will give you the $.50 tour!

I will have to look and see if it is still open. It was located in the "fake" city on Va Beach Blvd. That city center is so weird. Skyscrappers with nothing next to them in scale.
