    I've never even set eyes on this resort...perhaps we will do a little sightseeing next trip!

    Grandstand is a nice area, Diane.
    Do you like to walk? SSR is a great resort for people who don't mind walking here and there. It's large, like OKW but set up in different ways.
    Having been to the "real world" Saratoga Springs, I get a kick out of how much SSR is NOT like the real world place. :lol:

    We've stayed here once for a few nights during Christmas season a few years ago. The resort is HUGE! Some buildings are quite far from the main building/pool. The location is nice being across from DTD and you can take a boat over. The overall resort experience for us though was just okay. Nothing special. We would stay here again but only if there was no other DVC choice.

    Thanks, DF. We won't be using the pool so that's not a problem. :)

    Do you think you might try the spa, Diane? It's a lovely one to be sure. They've redone it all too. I love the scent when you walk in there.

    I do understand what DisneyFreak is saying. It's nice enough, it really is, but there is a certain lack of atmosphere, if that makes sense? Nothing to keep you from staying there (and NOTHING like the scary, creepy, nightmare inducing clown of that other resort)! :lol:

    No spas for me, Tink. :) I prefer a nice walk.
    And the C.... is exactly why I won't stay at that resort. {{shudder}}

    Ah, well then you will be well pleased. The grounds are pretty and you have the option of walking along the waterway too. :yes: If you really like to walk, do this. Walk along the waterway finding yourself at the crossing bridge. Although it's meant for golfers, you can cross over it. Take a RIGHT at the end of the bridge and head along the waterway. You will come to OKW!! You can then turn and walk back, or go to the front of OKW and take a bus elsewhere or the ferry back to DTD… Lovely walk. :yes:

    Thank you, Tink. I'll note that in my plans. :)
