We're trying new things this trip and this is one restaurant that we've never been in. Would anyone like to share their experience of it please? Thank you. :)

We've not been here. We've been warned off more than once by people who's opinion we respect. The boy's Da worked there once and said he'd not care to eat there, so that capped it for us.

It can sometimes have a nice variety of foods for a Disney buffet but, feels like one of the less organised, clean buffets in Disney.

By that I mean it's always very full, lots of kids with their hands in the food, and quite a quick turn round of people/tables... sooo all in all it never feels all that great.

Having said that, last time I was there in May for star wars weekend, they were cutting up a HUGE turkey. I said OMG I could live for a week on that leg alone, and the guy said ok go for it and gave me the whole thing  it was way to big for one plate so I staggered to my table with it on a huge serving plate. It was very nice though and I did chomp on it for the rest of the day

but nah.... all in all, it's not the best place

That's what I didn't really want to say. :( The boy's Da danced all around it, but said it was the one buffet where he'd not eat due to cleanliness and servicing the buffet issues. :sorry:

Does sound like a sweet thing to do though, Keith! That must have been a wicked turkey leg! LOL.

I love it! THAT'S the Disney I love. Surely there were more turkeys with legs in the wings, or else he'd not have given you the leg. Oh, are you sure it was a turkey and not an emu? ;)

That definitely doesn't sound like somewhere I would want to eat.

I had dinner there this past May. Mari and her beautiful family were gracious enough to let me tag along for the Star Wars dinner. It was packed and loud but the good was definitely better than I remember it being. It's a buffet though so definitely not gourmet fare.

To me it is merely OK. I don't go out of my way to go there.

I don't know, of course but I would hazard a guess that it may have been better for the special event? Many people moving through, with extra staff, and the food would be hotter (by default, quicker turnover) etc. Like I said, I have no real clue, just hypothesizing. :D

We went there a few weeks ago. It was 'ok'. Not great, but not bad either. Plenty of food, tasted ok. Atmosphere isn't brilliant. It's more geared for families on the go who want to quickly stuff themselves and the kids with food before waddling over to see Fantasmic.
If there were more table service dining options in HS we would probably drop HV and go elsewhere. As it is, limited options for dining mean that we generally go there once per trip. But then we are suckers for a buffet.
