We are intending going to Cape May Buffet during our August trip and i was just wondering how close it is to the International Gateway and if you can see the fireworks without actually entering the park?

We are going to request a 6-8pm timeslot for dinner but if we can see Illuminations i will ask foran earlier sitting.

We are at a waterpark during the day so it would cost me another park day on the tickets to enter Epcot to see them.

You will be able to see some of the fireworks from Illuminations from the beach area (and surrounds) of the BC.

It's not more than a five minute walk from the IG to the BC. If you take the ferry you first have to go to the BWI side, so it is a longer time on the ferry than it takes to walk.

There is a very nice vantage point for illuminations on the dock heading toward the Yacht Club.

Don't rush your Cape May dinner. It's a fun buffet so you'll want to take your time. If you don't mind eating a bit early plan the dinner for around 6:00 pm. That will give you three hours before Illuminations at 9:00.

    It's a great feeling, isn't it?!

Loads of people will stand on the bridge between the BC side and the BW side to watch the show.

You'll see the high fireworks, some of the flames, the lasers... and depending upon where you are, may hear some of it.

Actually, we quite like watching the show from "that side" of the gate. It's one of those "free things to do at Disney" that we've done with folks who don't want to go inside.

Can you believe that there are people who don't want to go into EPCOT???!

Hope your plans continue to come together perfectly for you! :hug2:

Actually saw a good portion of it from our small balcony at BW when we stayed there. Forget what the show was called back then, but you could see a fair amount as our room faced epcot and the boardwalk.
