this is my first time to visit WDW during Halloween! Has anyone done the MNSSHP? If so, did you take kids? I'm taking 2 of my Granddaughters (ages 12 & 10). Would they think this was "Really Lame Nana" or "OMG Nana, you are SO AWESOMELY COOL!!" I know there's an extra charge, so does Disney close Magic Kingdom for this event?

We went to this event three times and we simply love it! (okay we didn't bring kids!) but I cannot imagine why your Granddaughters would not enjoy it! Did you know that the fireworks is different for halloween and there are many trick or treat points across the magic kingdom.

They do close the park and it is quite fun watching CM catching people who hoped to stay on after the halloween party starting and have not brought any ticket!

We are going again for 4th time! :mental:

Bev they will love it and you have to dress up!

The parade and fireworks are the best I've seen at WDW, there is also a stage show which is brilliant.

The girls will be able to collect as much candy as they like from the trick or treat stations. You can have "special" photos taken with some ghostly extras, and the Haunted Mansion is just brilliant :D There are special characters out just for the Party...............I could go on but I don't want to give anything away.

Take a look at this Chris was taking sneaky photos of people dressed up  there are also a few photos of the Boo to you parade.

We go every year and I think it is worth every cent, I am going to really miss it :sigh:

I have to echo Wendy on this. They, as well as you and Rick will absolutely love it. We've been several times and couple of times as we were leaving they CMs were just loading up our trick or treat bags. The parade is fabulous "Boo To You". Fireworks nothing short of amazing.

We did it for the first time in 2012, being two twenty something's we felt we'd be left out. But it couldn't be further from the truth. The only downside is that we didn't dress up.

We loved it so much we purchased our tickets for this year already.

It was 289 dollars for four adults. That included 25 dollar deliver charge to the uk.

So it was 66 dollars each.

I think I read it goes up to 72 dollars if purchased on the day.

The Halloween party is my favorite! You can get on with your party ticket starting at 4pm. The party starts at 7pm and they start ushering non party goers out.

Bev, Baleigh and Andrew (15/21) LOVE it. Last year they insisted on dressing up and LOVED the parade/fireworks. It's a "must do" for us when we visit during this time of year!

Meant to say - because the price adds up quickly for a family of 4, we usually deduct that day from our park tickets, and only purchase the MNSSHP tickets. We'll spend the morning lounging by the pool, relaxing and then head to the MK around 4 - still feels like a full day but we're able to last longer into the night because we're well rested!
