I'm wondering if anyone have downloaded The Times apps? Is it any good?

Normally I read The Guardian so not sure if it would be nice change for while until The Guardian does the same

Yes, but what most impressed me was that as you move your iPad around the horizon or over your head, the display scrolls to show you what's in the direction you're pointing! :mental:

    Tom :)macwave:... amazed!)

BTW - for anybody that's interested, Google Earth is now available as a native iPad app. And of course, it's still free. :mental:

Now all the excitement over the iPad being on sale is diminished, and the iPhone has taken it's place there, what do you all like best about the iPad? What do you use them for? Any regrets?(I doubt it!!) How would you sell it to someone waivering?

You know, it's just one of those devices, I like it more every day I use it and heck I had pretty high hopes before hand!

I use it for my daily diary, all my email, task lists, to do lists, booking movies, playing the odd game (much more than I've played any other games because its so much more enjoyable)

There's just something liberating about having it sitting there, instantly turns on and there's your internet, web pages blah blah

I absolutely love it but I find myself struggling nowadays to remember the good bits because I can't remember what it was like without it!! Honestly it's like someone saying "whats good about having a fridge in the kitchen?" I'm so used to it I'd have to really think about what life would be like without it

    What Keith said!

In my case, I work in technology but from home so I spend most of my days in my office with my various computers surrounding me. :mental:

But in the evenings, I go into our den and my wife and I watch some TV. Suppose we see an actor and wonder, where have we seen him or her before. I just flip open my iPad, quickly go to imdb.com, look up the actor and there's everything they've ever been in. It's just that fast and easy. Ohhh... and while I've already got it out, I may sneak a peek a my email or pop into Secrets here. Just to see what's up.

It just become an extension of me! Yep, I still love mine!

Tom :)macwave:... just addicted to technology. I guess I need a life!)

It "may" need to be within range of a WiFi hot spot. I'm not sure since I use it here at home. I'll check it tonight after I've turned off my router.

    Tom :)macwave:... we'll find out!)
