don't know  not sure about the book thing just yet. I'm the kind that prints documents off to read instead of reading on the computer screen.

I shall wait and see what's available. Are there free ones or is it just to pay for?

I think what I really like is the fact I can have couple of books but with one hardware.

sometime I go on a long train journey and usually I wish I have different range of books to read...

Ipad is the perfect solution for that!

the apps itself is free so maybe download it and buy a 'cheap' book to see what it is like.

USA had free Winnie the pooh book so hopefully we have something similar here

There are a number of free eBooks available in the iTunes store Brit. I think you'll find it brilliant. I always liked to have a physical book in my hands also. But I'm getting more and more used to the iPad as a book reader.

Where eBooks fall down in my opinion is that if I buy an eBook, I can't share it with my DW unless I hand her my iPad and let her read it there. If I have a hard copy book, I can share it with my DW and vice versa. I kind of wish the eBook readers would come up with the concept of families. So you could share an eBook between your family members that all had an eBook reader.

All of this is no big deal for free eBooks but if you're paying for a bestseller, it'd be nice to be able to share it with your family. Just like a real book.

    My 2 cents.

Tom :)macwave:... course War and Peace in an eBook is easier to carry!)

Im using the US appstore at the moment and there are loads of free, out of copyright books and materials. The US constitution etc winnie the pooh of course :D

It's very very good, FAR better than I expected it to be as a book reader and this is rev1!
