I saw this and really like this but have already ordered my case :-(
iPad Leather Case
yeah I know what you mean, more like a filofax kinda thing with some slots.
It'd make the whole thing much more bulky than the apple case you ordered though
true....... didnt think of that...
can you stand that one up Jeff?
Are you going to be taking it to work with you or is it just for around the house? i haven't got the option of using it due to confidentiality issues unfortunately or i would
Im still working out which one I want to order :/
I am using my own diary at work so I would love to be able to switch to ipad.....
That would be a nice case, but it would definitely had bulk.
Time for me to offer an observation on the Incase one I've got.
The one I bought, while a good case for the iPad, does have some drawbacks in my opinion.
First, the iPad kind of works its way out of the case ever so slightly. What this means is that when you go to recharge or sync the iPad with your computer, you've got to rather forcefully shove the iPad back into the case in order to get enough clearance to plug in the sync cable. Same holds true for the headphone jack. Additionally, the power button on top is only half visible. Doesn't affect the operation but it is a bit inconvenient.
Second, the basic iPad is 1/2 inch thick. Once you've put it into this case, it suddenly has become about an inch thick. Good protection but it does add bulk.
All told, this is a good case that offers reasonable protection but it does have some annoyances. Long term, I might end up looking for alternatives.
Tom macwave:... perfection eludes me!)
Yeah hmmmm for me there's the apple case if I can get one sometime versus a clear plastic snap on cover for the back with crystal film on front which is what I have on the iPhone and mac book pro
i have ordered the one from apple after going to the shop on friday only to be told they are launching everything on the same day so mine will be delivered on 7th june (hopefully)
Well I still stand by my guess that you'll end up with more than one iPad so why noit have a selection of cases as well
to revive this
There are soooo many cases out now. Some of the sleeves are really nice but I dont really want to have to put the ipad away and get it out if that makes sense? Want to flip it open like a filofax.
For that, there are a few very tacky ones which the ipad can fall out of :/ then there's the incase and apple.
The incase is true quality. It exudes the quality that all their products have. Perfect fit IMHO and works really well however it adds bulk. Lots of it :/ it feels more like carrying a thick folder than a slim book.
The apple one feels like it's a very moulded rubberish thing with poorly done sharpish corners/edges. However, it fits tightly, the ipad wont fall out and it adds almost nothing to the size. You flip it open/closed like you'd expect and it just works. There's no way it's "worth" £30/$40 but yet it seems to be the best solution at the moment.
I really agonised over which to keep but ended up with the Apple. it's the best solution even though it doesnt necessarily feel like the best product
Do you have a film on the screen Keith?
Good information Keith! Thanks!
Tom macwave:... off to have a peek at the Apple store!)
Not yet, there were lots of places to get the invisishield one from but I dont like those, I prefer the power support ones. So I'll get that when it hits the shops (Tom's found it on the website already so shouldnt be long)
What is power support??
The case is growing on me , must admit it now feels strange out of the case
Would you be able to charge on a stand in the case?
Company here in the US.
Tom macwave:... great screen protectors!)
