Jon has a first generation iPad and wants an upgrade as it won't do everything he wants to do. I have a 3rd Gen at the moment with high storage which i don't use but he wants. I thought about getting an iPad mini for me as and giving him the 3rd gen. Has anyone got a mini? i don't use my iPad for loads of stuff other than surfing, calendar etc.. thought then i could carry it around more in my bag... Any disadvantages you can think of?
I do and I really, really like it! I use mine about the same way as you use yours. It's SO convenient! Give it to the man and go get yourself a new mini!
I LOVE my ipad mini and havent used the full version since I got the mini The main (only?) disadvantage is the size of text etc on the screen. It is easier to read webpages on the full than the mini (unless theyre optimised) Even with all that, I prefer the mini
I think I read the new one is coming out on Nov. 2. We are getting DD Alex one for Christmas/early graduation.
A question about the first ipad mini, is the screen ok? I'm used to the 3rd gen ipad and don't want it to be like the 2..I can save £100 by getting that one
Thats such a hard one to answer.. the first ipad mini doesnt have a "retina" display like the 3rd gen ipad but honestly I've never had a problem with it! I read a LOT on it... perhaps movies would be better on the retina but honestly I find it fine. It's smaller than the 10" ipad so I think fewer pixels probably doesnt hurt it as much Interested to see what the new mini looks like though
