Following the swap-a-rino of the Sunshine Tree Terrace and Aloha Isle, rumors have been running rampant that the space once known as the Adventureland Veranda restaurant will finally return to food service after 21 years. The speculation is that the space (most recently serving as home to Tinker Bell and her fairy friends before she relocated to Town Square Theater) will once again be used as a restaurant (tentatively called the “Skipper’s Cantinaâ€), and will take thematic cues from its neighboring Jungle Cruise attraction. The back story is said to revolve around Jungle Cruise skippers being under paid by the Jungle Navigation Company and needing to operate the restaurant to make a little more money. Current rumors are that the restaurant will operate in the same way as “Be Our Guest†in that it will offer a Counter Service lunch and a Table Service dinner. Speculation is that Disney could have the new restaurant open as early as November 2015. So what do you think about this rumor? Table for two with a view of the backside of water????
