Opposite here, we never bother watching Illuminations but wouldn't miss Wishes. Ever.
Test track is pants and is basically a scalextric track. You go faster in your own car getting to the park !
Hall of presidents is only good for a snooze
Great movie ride and the backlot tour are in serious need of a revamp ( May have been done actually as we haven't been for years)
There are probably quite a few more but that'll do to start
Ps wishes ?? Seriously ???
I hate Flame Tree yuck, it is NOT good bbq.
Test Track IS overrated.
Yak and Yeti has the WORST name ever! The apps and desserts were good but the entrees were bland and way overpriced
Almost all of Disney's table service restaurants are ridiculously overpriced! I would never pay those prices at home.
I have only been in the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse once. Waste of time ad space.
Ricardo is the only redeeming factor and even that can't make me pay those prices :-(
If you get chance rent a boat and watch Illuminations from the bridge, you learn about the history and it's amazing watching it from there. It is even more beautiful when shared with special friends
Illuminations is wonderful and the music is spectacular but wishes is the soul of Disney for us at least.
Not a massive fan of fantasmic to be honest ( is that still going ?)
Fantasmic is still going
Not thrilled with Mission Space. It was like a check after doing it. Wouldn't care if it went bye bye. That is kind of weird for such a child of the space age, an Earth science teacher, and former NASA educational consultant.
Absolutely, utterly could NOT agree more. It is by far one of my most treasured memories.
This has been interesting!!! I do think it's important to remember that everything has value - even those things we personally may not enjoy. As you'll recall, the topic of the thread itself was those opinions where we find ourselves outside of the majority. But even then, I think it's important that we realize others can and do find real joy in things we may not - and that's awesome. Hearing different perspective can be a good thing; celebrating those differences (and not dismissing them) is even better.
Ok, guys...hang on to your keyboards...this thread has inspired another...
Let's play "Do it all the time, Done it once, Do away with it altogether!"
Over 90 percent of the food at Disney is bland and way way overpriced...
Disney park food is boring and expensive.
I love Animal Kingdom. Except Kali River Rapids - in Steven's words - "was that it?"
Space Orbiter. That "thing in the sky" that you have to take an elevator to, in MK. OMG!!! Boring. Have done it once and won't be doin' it again. Sheesh.
Love AK!! (But you all knew that already). LOL.
Haven't been on the new TT. Huh. Will have to see about correcting that. We simply don't do lines though, so if it's busy (and it usually is) we give it a pass.
We like Living with the Land too. LOVE those lemons! LOL. Do still wish it had the live CM on it. That was a bit more fun, and gave the illusion of a tour…
Parades? Not a huge fan, but will watch them when forced. Did LOVE the ToN at WS though. Miss it.
Never done Hoop de Do, but did read a blog ages and ages ago (probably easy ten or more years) from someone who'd been and called it Hoop De Poo. Apparently the food did not agree with their body. Been afraid of it ever since! Keep in mind though that a VIP here loves it!
(Shhhhh… don't tell, but I actually like IASW). Heh heh heh
Right on Tink! To each his or her own eh? Actually we don't do Astro Orbiter but have wonderful memories of it with Alex when she was 10 and we stayed at the Poly. I took video on it near sunset and the color of the sky with the colors of the ride were breathtaking.
Embarrassing admission #43 - I have NEVER been on Astro Orbiter!
I love Animal Kingdom even though I refer it as the 7tj circle of hell lol. I can't enjoy it when it's too hot though
Never been to the World during warm months. I would imagine the same feeling Johnie as hitting Busch Gardens in Williamsburg in the heat of the Virginia summer. Yikes! It would take a lot of the shine off a lot of parks.
Ha! So true Dan. Though I will tell you one of my best day trips to BG was when it was eleventy billion degrees out. No lines for anything and we made full use if the train and sky thingie to get around!
Yeah that is the only way to "fly". We went to Christmas Town there this past December and it blew our minds to be there when it was so cold! The sky ride was really neat. Great to see all the decorations.
i have and it made me feel sick!
