Im really tempted to try and get an ohanas booking for one of the nights we're there but again I've read different reports on it Has anyone been there recently? What was on the menu and how good or bad was it? ta
we've only been there for breakfast... the characters where fantastic, great interaction the breakfast was the same as in any other character breakfast we went to: fruit, scrambled eggs bacon and sausage, except they also had Mickey waffles which we had only seen at Chef Mickeys... the only difference was a fruit juice which was very nice It was one of my favorite character meals... they bring the food to your table, so you dont even have to get up
We go for dinner every trip and that's saying a lot! It's our favorite place. We were just there this past Sat. Pineapple bread Salad with honey lime dressing Crispy dumplings Barbecue wings Noodles Broccoli & snap peas Steak, chicken, pork and shrimp on skewers Bread pudding
We ate there for the first time on our last trip(AUG-11).My daughter is a bit of a picky eater but she loved it in fact we all loved it. We were able to score a 2nd reservation for later that week and again it was great. We will make this restaurant a must do for all of our future visits. My advice is to go there hungry because there is unlimited skewers of Steak Shrimp Chicken and Pork and leave room dessert.
Just to keep things well rounded... We don't care for it at all. Have only been there a few times, and only will go now if a guests insists. We find the meat overcooked and don't care for the sides. Most are too sweet. Loads of people like it though.
Over the years had the character breakfast...awesome AND had our Thanksgiving dinner there one trip. It was sort of weird getting turkey via a skillet but the CMs were very attentive and we did feel like Ohana....kept calling us cousin and they played the uke and sang by our table. It was nice.
We went for dinner several years ago and I was less than impressed. It is good for the kids for breakfast but I much prefer Kona Cafe.
Aw love that place too! Guess I am pretty easy to please Getting stoked!!! Going to be there in three months!!!!!
We enjoy it, though over the years it has fallen off of our "must do" list. We did go with friends in March, one of which is a vegetarian, and she very much enjoyed it...the chef did a lovely job of offering her flavorful "non-meat" options during our meal.
Yes they will. They prefer that you let them know in advance so that they have time to possibly have more selections available but all of the TS places will cater to you.
Good to know! Thanks. My daughter will be thrilled. Oh and her friend that is going with us is a veggie too.
Absolutely. Most places already have a "vegetarian" selection on offer already, but if it's not something that she fancies, we found that the restaurants were very good at trying to accommodate specific requests.
I planned the ADR's for our March trip, and I simply mentioned it (or added it in the notes online) when making the reservations. They were very accommodating.
We've been to Ohanas once, we had a good time, but I think it was more down to the company than the food. It's not one that I would do again
Ditto. We`ve had dinner there twice with our friends from LA who made the reservations this year and last year when they visited Florida. Although it was sort of ok, the place is too noisy and busy for my liking at dinner.
