Are you getting the watch when it comes out?

Would be nice to know someone I can 'tap'!

are you kidding? first in line whether that be virtual or real life line ;-)

I kinda want the black steel normal one BUT according to a guy at the apple store, the fancy gold one is going to come in a really fancy jewellry box for the bed side table with a charger built in so you can put it to sleep each night whilst it charges in its own posh box. Not sure I can resist that  I'm such a sucker :(

I'm known at work for having whole conversations with people over text even if they're sitting a few feet from me. When everyone saw that "tap" feature on the watch they all groaned because they just know how annoying I'll be with it :excited:

Ha ha! We've got to exchange contact details!

I heard about the charging case for the Edition... err... edition. I like the sound of it, but tell you the truth, I just want a dual charger that will have a cradle for the iPhone and a little stand for the watch. If I can't get that, then a simple charger with two cables is fine by me.

I'm getting a little angsty that none of the contract prices have been released yet - I hate this - each network is trying to wait for the others to announce their prices, then beat them. Tomorrow's going to be internet meltdown time!

Thankfully, I've arranged to be at work a little later than usual tomorrow morning. ;)

I think potentially the 6 plus could replace the iPad for me.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Textedit used to have that text on it's icon, it's going with Yosemite :(

I'm getting a little worried now. No prices have been announced yet and it's almost 9pm. Also, Apple are unsure if they're going to be allowing preordering of phones with contracts, only offline. To top it all off, Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse have both stopped selling Three contracts, so my options are limited to Apple (if they let me) and Three (who haven't announced anything).

These first world problems are going to be the death of me!

Dagnammit! That's not enough thinking time!!!

By the time I've decided on a tariff, they will probably sell out! If they let me reserve one, then pick a tariff later, I'm fine with that, but they can't ask me to make a split-second decision that I'm going to have to live with for two bloody years!

    *deep breath*

I'm coming to the conclusion that I may not be able to preorder on a contract. I'm not sure I'll queue for it.

the last few years it's not been too hard to get iphones on contract to be honest. Even last year, nothing available at apple, tons in the shops on contracts

I *just need* to handle the new phones before I decide. When the 5s came out I knew one second into holding it that I couldn't use it. So I'm now using an HTC One. It has the same screen size as the new iPhone 6, so if anything I'd be upgrading across to the plus.
Last time I bought an iPhone I waited for about a week after it was launched and walked into the nearest o2 shops. Five minutes later I walked out with the iPhone 4. No queues, no pre-ordering. I have a feeling it might not be quite as easy this time round. Especially for the watch.

    Aaaargh!!! :hopmad::hopmad::hopmad:

I just spoke to Three and they tell me they're not releasing prices until this afternoon, because they're waiting to see what other networks are charging. I guess we're waiting to see who blinks first.

The Apple Store is still down. I called them, spent 20 mins on hold and when I finally got through, they cut me off. :argue:

    Anybody else have more luck?

And now they won't let me be added to the queue on the phone at Apple. :(

I'm trying the Apple Store app now, some people have reported success with that.

My son works for Verizon and he told me yesterday they are going to offer the 6 16G for $199 with a $200 gift card - basically free with a new 2 year contract.

It's also part of their Edge plan which I've not totally sorted out yet...but I know it allows you a new phone every year.

I've just been looking at EE prices £60+ per month! Getting a bit ridiculous!

They're really really getting silly this year on contracts .. glad I ordered mine unlocked

Last year on voda, the business tariff we had was:-

    iphone 5s - £249, £40 a month, unlimited calls/texts, 1GB data (12 mth contract)

    this year
    iphone 6 - £479, £41 a month, 300mins, unlimited texts, 250MB data (12 month)

I was hoping to order the phone today but decided not to. I was gobsmacked at the EE price for contact so I'm now thinking I might he better off on pay to go.... If a very big if there is iPhone plus in stock over the pond. Would it work on the UK?
