Interestingly, because I always put a screen protector on my phones soon as I get them but couldn't get one in time, this time, they've cut out holes in the plastic it comes in for the cameras etc. It's just about possible to kinda use it without removing the plastic I think until the screen protectors arrive (maybe)

So far the 6+ with the note sized screen is very impressive. Too tall for my shirt pocket but lighter so doesn't feel as bad as I thought. The 6 is very much like the earlier models, but thinner and so easier/nicer to hold

Your shirt pocket. Don't you lose your phone when you bend over?

you know, everyone says that. I can honestly say that no I don't. In fact with the iphone 5s (and below) the phones are so "small" relative to my pocket that they actually often end up lengthwise at the bottom of my pocket. Even when they're the right way up, I can't say they've ever fallen out. Perhaps I'm not active enough  or perhaps I subconciously put a hand over it or something but no it's never been a problem.

However, the iphone 6 sticks further out because it's taller, and the 6+ sticks further out still. Sooooooo it could start to be a problem

well I dont think they're mega huge :/ perhaps they are! LOL

The people at work with 5.5' phones tend to keep them either in a belt holster or just in their jacket pocket until they get to their desk and then they leave them in a dock on there. So I could do that I guess. The problem for me with a holster case is, I dont get the odd phone call (no one calls me) I get texts/imessages/whatsapps constantly so having to pull the phone from a holster every time would be a nightmare

Every morning my phone would beep. I'd know it'd be Mick and it'd either be joke of the day OR it'd be some news article he'd found about why Apple was rubbish

Chris always keeps his phone in his shirt pocket and his has never fallen out.

If they are both too large for your pocket then I'd go for the 6+ would it go in your trouser pocket, that's where Chris puts his S2 when I want him to look smart and not have his phone in his pocket.

Herself uses a holster. I hate them. I put mine on my desk. Or, keep it in my trouser pocket, or the front pocket of whatever case/bag I'm carrying at the time.

Mick was not an Apple fan, that's for sure! LOL.

it would definitely fit in my trouser pocket that's for sure.

I think it's all down to what I'd prefer.....

    pros of the 6 v the +
A nice screen size boost without being SO large that I couldnt carry it in my shirt pocket

    cons of the 6 v the +
Larger than the 5s but doesnt gain much
web sites not as readable as the +
no optical image stabilisation on the camera
    no fancy landscape modes
no extra columns like images of the senders in mail
Battery life a lot less than the +

So there are a lot of plusses to the plus so to speak  IF I can get used to carrying it and using it with two hands all the time

Two hands? Because it is so large?

yeah, I suppose it depends on your reach but for me, the current iphone 5s is fine with one hand, I can reach all corners. The + is large enough that the comfortable way to use it is hold it in one hand and use the other hand for the screen

Ah. I use two hands already, as does Herself, so that's not an adjustment for us. We got through that phase when the trend went from the "smaller the better" phone, to the, "let's see how close to television size we can get."

yeah well you see thats interesting because when I stopped to look at how I use the phones, I do actually use 2 hands much more than I think I do!

I like to think I use two hands more often than not (as it sounds much safer), but the truth is, I spend a lot of time on one-handed use.

    I think I'm about 50/50.

If I'm walking along, perhaps I'm carrying a bag or something, I'll grab the phone with one hand, dash off a text, put it back in my shirt pocket... it beeps, I'll grab it one handed, reply, back.

I COULDNT do that with the 6+, easy with the 5s, and just about possible with the 6

If I'm sitting at my desk and I get a message, I'll probably use two hands and type faster and more accurately. Likewise if I'm looking at a web page or something I'll probably hold it in one hand and touch with the other.

    So hmmmm DUNNO! Still undecided
