L’Artisan des Glaces, Artisan Ice Cream & Sorbet to open in France at Epcot by mid-June in the pavilion’s former bakery space.

This delightful little shop will offer 16 different flavors – 10 ice creams and six sorbets are on the menu (still a work in progress). “Everything will be made in-house with the simplest, fresh ingredients – milk, sugar, cream, eggs and fruit,” says general manager Eric Weistroffer.

The frozen treats will be available by the scoop in cups or cones – and for grown-ups, there’s the option of adding liqueurs, says Weistroffer.

Im so looking forward to this. I hope it is as good as the gelato sold at Cafe Rix at CSR. They make the gelato there on site and it is so so good. I love the idea of the addition of alcohol.

Absolutely, the gelato is delicious. Maybe a lunch at P.Market followed by a gelato. Google 'Gelato Cafe Rix' to see whats on offer. So good.

    Oh yum!! That sounds delightful!

One thing though...I'm confused as to where this is going to be? Is this going in behind Chefs de France? Where I used to get my lovely cheese platter and baguette??

Yes that's right Becca, it's where the Boulangerie used to be as that has moved into larger premises next door.
