Construction is scheduled to start on the remodelling of Downtown Disney’s LEGO Imagination Center next week. The store is due to close on January 24th and if all goes to plan will re-open in April. The extensive renovation of the Lego Imagination Center will increase its overall footprint by nearly 3,500 square-feet and add new Lego exterior models featuring scenes from classic Disney movies. While the construction is taking place the store will have a temporary home at Downtown Disney near the Once Upon a Toy store. The new look LEGO store is part of the changes underway at Downtown Disney which will feature a new vibrant waterfront district called “Hyperion Wharf” along with changes at the AMC Theatres and new or renovated retail shops.
