Just be sure that if you move from your normal band to a limited edition one that everything transferred over. Best to check with your hotel reception that everything is in place. Both our room reservations didn't move across and had to be added again. Slight inconvenience but once that's all sorted you're good to go.

That is good to know. So are special edition MBs available all over the parks and resorts?

You can also buy Frozen ones with Olaf on them from HS. I imagine they will do one for Christmas.

I can forsee a great marketing tool here. Kind of Orwellian but pretty cool. Do you recall the bit in that Tom Cruise movie (think it was Minority Report) that showed tailored advertisements when someone's retina patterns were scanned in a store. Wonder if we are getting to that point sooner rather than later.

Given that they can scan the Rf chip in your band from quite some distance, I can imagine so.

One department store does that John Lewis not the retina but you share your shopping with them and they send you email with tailored made advertisements

Have quite enjoyed our magic band experience this trip...it worked seamlessly over three separate reservations - AoA with my folks, Boardwalk where we rented DVC points, and now Pop Century. We've used the same band for the entire trip.
