If you are visiting Disney World in the coming weeks will find that the Magic Kingdom monorails running on a reduced schedule due to construction work on the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian. The monorail service to the Magic Kingdom will face daily disruptions from Friday 2nd March until Saturday 17th March 2012 when all monorail services will be suspended between the hours of 11.30am and 6pm. This suspension is because of the construction work on the new DVC villas adjacent to the Grand Floridian. Disney also says that the downtime will be used to perform "planned maintenance" on the monorail infrastructure. Additional buses and water transportation will be used to accommodate guests travelling to and from the Magic Kingdom, as well as those staying in Magic Kingdom area resorts normally serviced by the monorail.
