With the remodelling of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs, there will be more shop space available in an area which will be called The Landing which is where the old Pleasure Island used to be (I still miss PI).

Disney recently announced that the following shops will be opening, although no opening date has yet been given:
    • Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC -- gluten-free, vegan baked goods
    • Havaianas -- flip-flops (including a place for guests to create their own)
    • Sanuk -- distinctive footwear
    • Sound Lion -- headphones, earbuds, speakers and other music products
I'm not sure about all these shops opening, it's going to be more like a mini shopping mall.

    What do you think?

I'd really like TONS Of shops and TONS of restaurants AND a few clubs :) I want Disney Springs to be an evening area where we could go see a film, have a shop, go for a meal, have a bit of a party and go home exhausted :)

I'm withholding judgement, as Disney always manages to pull a rabbit out of the hat but I am beginning to think I'd miss the Disney theming.

I like getting a little dose of Disney in the evenings, even if I'm not in the parks.

I'd LOVE to see a store selling bits from the parks - old signs, hats from CM costumes, vintage souvenirs etc. You know, a real theme park connection type place that exists for the Disney theme park fan, rather than the Disney fan... They could even sell off bits of the Hollywood Studios hat!

I'd also like to see a Disney history place - like a One Man's Dream attraction, but with a gift shop at the end selling books, movies, memorabilia etc. I mean, what better way to entice people into the parks?

I really miss the Disney at Home shop. I LOVED the sophisticated Disney themed items that could be used to decorate a home. Once, ages ago PI had a store that had really unique items. In that store was a Tiffany style Tinkerbell lamp. How long have I regretted not purchasing that lamp? Yeah. That long. :sigh:
