At the World of Disney at Downtown Disney Marketplace to check out the latest interactive experience from Disney Theme Park Merchandise, the Magic Mirror. You may recall the Magic Mirror from Walt Disney’s animated classic, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” This Magic Mirror is a little different as it’s only used for doing good and making Princess dreams come true.

With the help of a little Disney magic, guests can virtually try on a collection of authentic Disney Princess gowns and accessories, and see themselves transforms into their favorite princess (or princesses) right before their eyes.

So how does the Magic Mirror work? You simply stand directly in front of the mirror and watch the magic unfold as the mirror comes to life.

We saw this on our trip but to be honest I never realised it was a new addition as it is located in an area that we seldom visit in the store [on the back wall just past the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique thingy!].

It is quite clever and I even persuaded my DW to pose while I took a few photos....the dresses did not look quite right on me.

To me it looked more like "Pick the one that looks best and then tell Mommy and Daddy to go buy it for you! Only $100 for the dress and accessories!"

What a cute idea! It's a novelty, like anything else, but cute.

And I think we need to see some of those pictures. :)

They have a similar thing at Alton Towers in the new smiler shop. You stand in front of it and your head turns into one of the teddy bears' heads which are on sale, or you wear glasses that are on sale there etc. Very clever technology!
