Here is a look at some of the new retail MagicBands and accessories coming to Walt Disney World Resort this month.
First of all there is the new retail MagicBand that features Mickey Mouse showing off his Disney Side with 2015 also on the Band. This is a limited release retail MagicBand and is currently available in select merchandise locations in Florida and will cost $24.95 (plus tax).

Also during January, there will be open edition retail MagicBands which will cost $19.95 each (plus tax) on the following dates:
    • Ariel and Cinderella Castle – January 16
    • Belle – January 23
    • Tinker Bell; Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear – January 30
Guests may also soon notice new retail packaging for MagicBands. “New packaging for retail MagicBands was recently introduced with the release of the 2015-dated Graphic MagicBand,â€￾ explained Kevin-Michael. “A team composed of MyMagic+ Products and Services, Merchandising, Disney Design Group Artists and Integrated Supply Chain collaborated on this new design. I like that the artwork is now front and center, which will make finding favorite designs much easier. Guests should look for the new packaging throughout this year.â€￾

Finally, Kevin-Michael gave me a preview of new MagicBand-its arriving this month. These small items can attach to the side of any MagicBand. I love the Disney cats set!

These will be available at select Walt Disney World Resort merchandise locations.

can you keep your magic bands for ever? I mean from trip to trip, year to year or do they expire?
We have a couple each as we get one with our APs but not sure if they run out with the passes.

I like the castle one and the Mickey one but refuse to pay for something that brings me out in a rash.

Yeah, I was just wondering the same thing. So you would upgrade from the regular issues to these cooler ones? Brilliant! WDW marketing at work.

It's a great idea and there is a lot of choice which I think is nice.

I don't like things tight on my wrist so I will see what the standard one fits like and then if it is loose then I will buy one, probably the Castle :D
