Here is a look at some of the new merchandise that is coming to Disney Parks in 2014.

Merchandiser Roger Dressen who explains the inspiration behind the Disney Holiday for your Home Collection.

“The holidays are a swell time of the year to remember favorite memories and traditions,â€￾ said Roger. “We wanted a retro-inspired art program that captured with the warmth and magic of the season while adding a splash of Disney. The artwork will used on a host of new items including ornaments, decorations and more.â€￾

At the Marketplace Co Op location which is coming to Downtown Disney Marketplace in 2014, there will be two things created especially for Centerpiece, the home goods mini-shop. There will be salt and pepper shakers shaped like Disney Parks’ trash cans and an Orange Bird-themed glass pitcher and glasses.

The Orange Bird will make another appearance on a new T-shirt inspired by the attraction poster from Magic Kingdom. The recently released 2014 calendars and Poster Art of the Disney Parks hardcover book has been incorporated in several new shirts, which will be available from Disney Parks online store in the coming months.

In May, Disney merchandise will celebrate five years of Dooney & Bourke handbags and accessories at Disney Parks. A small celebration will take place and several new designs will be released this year.

Fans of the Haunted Mansion attraction will see an entirely new style guide containing some hauntingly beautiful artwork that was recently created for this classic Disney attraction.

    Nooooooooooooooo

The D&B stuff is the bane of my life. She buys loads of it but always leaves a few items. Fine I think, she doesn't like those but no, that's so for the next 20 years she can drag me back through every shop looking for them!

It'd be easier if Disney just had a D&B subscription and sent through the whole collection each quarter along with a condolence card for me and my bank balance :(

Disney created the orange bird for the Florida citrus commission (or something along those lines) in exchange for them sponsoring an attraction in Adventureland. This was very early 70's

Oh my goodness. Apparently Anita Bryant sang a song about the orange bird. No doubt the demise of the orange bird was due to her hideous remarks.

Here is a picture of the orange bird back in the day [IMG]
