Ha! I would never think anyone at V&A would get snotty with me.
Making note of her name now, so we can request her on our next trip. Any idea what evenings she works?
FF would be Jon's pick as well. He has LOVED every meal he's had there, and when we go and FF isn't on the "menu" he always gets this "sad, puppy dog" look on his face.
Unfortunately I have no idea. We went on a Thursday night.
Thanks, John! I can make that work
REALLY when will that be, do you have any dates in mind
you may well say that but there are any number of restaurants charging as much or more than V&A with servers who would definitely be snotty about being asked for details of the food. Heck, just asking for a well done steak in some places can get snide comments.
Some years ago at v&a, after I'd had my wine pairings, I decided to stir things up by asking our "victoria and albert" what their REAL names were. If you wanted to see things go down hill and snotty quickly (thankfully this has now changed and they no longer have to all pretend to be Victoria and Albert)
Hmm we never had a problem with our Victoria and Albert's real names. They always introduced themselves to us by their real names. Our favorite was Sean.
it was many years ago John they've used real names for ages
Not exactly...but you can be sure you'll be the first to know (probably even before Jon!)
Great stuff guys! Good to know. I guess for me, I can't really pick one outstanding meal, just on food or ambiance as we have had good meals in a lot of places. I guess way back in the day it was the Coral Reef on our first visit. We went back a few years ago, and ehh...nothing stands out.
I think it easier to say where I would NEVER go back....that would be the Big River Brewery. The burger (you can tell I am a real foody right?) was basically inedible!
first time we'd ever tried it in May and I kinda liked it I must admit
Mama melroses.... wild horses could offer me money and they still wouldn't be able to drag me back there
Very good to know. Jon has asked about it several times, and I've never really read anything outstanding about it, so we've always given it a miss.
I think you are spot on Keith, MM's never did it for us. Not really authentic Italian if you ask me, and the service was less than stellar, certainly not up to Disney standards.
So are the restaraunts all privately owned/managed? Does Disney control them or are the sort of leased and franchise like?
Separate names with a comma.
