You'll leave fingerprints all over it!!! QUICK!!! Get the polishing cloth!!!
Well it has to be Sir Slowhand me thinks
Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits
On a lurgid bee
That mordiously hath bitled out
Its earted jurtles
Into a rancid festering
Now the jurpling slayjid agrocrustles
Are slurping hagrilly up the axlegrurts
And living glupules frart and slipulate
Like jowling meated liverslime
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes
And hooptiously drangle me
With crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or else I shall rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon
See if I don't.
(could be worse, at least it wasn't Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings - shudder)
Did you use the keyboard back light as a soft, glowy, night light?
Ohh... what background is that? And did they give you the Safari 4 Public Beta?
Tom macwave:... sits back and enjoys the view)
I love it though. Yeah, I'm weird. The Vogon I mean.
Yepper, our Slowhand is the next person on the list...
* Oh! * Wasn't supposed to mention "THE LIST" was I?
Hmmmm.... now there's a possibility!
Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!! My ears!!!!!!!!!! Noooooooooo...
Tom macwave:... ok... deep breaths now... trying to regain composure)
Uh oh... secrets out now.
Quick... pretend that we've forgotten how to speak English.
Tom macwave:.... grep awk sed who?)
grep: awk: No such file or directory
grep: who?: No such file or directory
Teach you to take me literally! At least it wasn't "sed"!
Tom macwave:... hmmm... I seem to have gotten cream cheese on my keyboard. Wunner how I did that?)
now we have a really geeky thread

Yup!

Tom macwave:... now where did I leave my pocket protector?)
Now that you've got your new baby, you may want to pop over to this link. It's the Apple downloads page. Lots of interesting goodies! Some might even be useful.
Oh... and I know I mentioned Photoshop Elements at some point, but I think I forgot to mention Pixelmator. It's a relatively new image processing app. Quite nice. And a bit cheaper than Photoshop!
Tom macwave:... just trying to help!)
ooo ooo oo yeah Pixelmator is very nice!
Isn't it just worthy?!
They tried. They failed. I suppose the black-casing they use compliments the blue-screens that plague them
PSE was what I really needed as it has some very cool plug ins just for astronomy - the processing of those images are a little different to standard photos but I have installed them and they are up and running.
I have put on half a dozen bits and bobs last night one or 2 I had to install twice as they seem to run compleytely differently under windows and OS and to get my super de duper flashy camera working I have to run it under a complete windows boot - sorry about that.
Thanks for the link but before I go too far I want to learn the basics with what I have ( loads as it transpires)
tonight is the night of the 'moving of itunes without losing it all'
Here's an article on how to do that. This method doesn't take your playlists and album meta data (artwork, etc.) along but it will work. There's other, slightly more complicated methods available out on the net that will take it all.
Tom macwave:... hope it helps!)
I hope so I relly culdn't stand to put all my cd's through the sytem again
I have it all backed up to an external drive so TBH I was hoping on just dragging and dropping the files directly from that into the relevent files on the computer
So how did it go? was it as easy as everyone says?
Are you still in love?
I just love the darkside. Have done for about 9 mths. There is no going back, so welcome!
still in love
I need a bigger hard drive though to cram it all in
