[h=3]Tonight we were headed back to the Magic Kingdom. Dinner would be at Be Our Guest. We took the Shades of Green bus tonight. We arrived at the TTC parking lot and took ferry boat over to MK. We were a bit early so we walked around a little and wound our way back to Fantasy Land. We noticed that there was quite a line to check in but we were early and Donna wanted to take a few pictures at night. We saw Gaston was having a meet and greet and Donna got her picture taken. After Donna’s picture taking we walked back to check in. There were several people in line who were asking about available seating but they were told that the restaurant was booked solid into August. We were given a pager and we walked out on the bridge leading to the entrance to the restaurant. Soon our pager went off. We were escorted into the Ballroom with explanations along the way of the location of the restrooms, the Library, which is only open during lunch, the West Wing and the Study, where we would have our photo meet and greet with the Beast after dinner. The Ballroom is huge and is absolutely gorgeous. At the far end are windows that look out in the dark where you can see snow falling. We were escorted to our seats, where we were promptly greeted by our server Roberto who was originally from Peru but had lived in Florida for 24 years. He was a magnificent server and took lots of time to explain the menu to us, including recommendations. Roberto pointed out to us the Signature Non-Alcoholic Drinks:[/h]Served in a Light-up Castle-themed Souvenir Goblet $18.99
Beverage only $4.19. We didn’t wish to purchase these but Donna wanted the goblet. So Roberto brought us an empty one, all wrapped up.

We began with a glass of Iron Horse Fairy Tale Cuvee Brut, sold only at Disney ($14.00 ea). Donna ordered the Potato Leek Soup ($6.49) and I the French Onion Soup ($7.49). Both were quite delicious. The table next to us ordered the Assorted Cured Meats and Sausages served with cornichons, pickled onions, and toasted baguette (serves two, $14.99). If we had ordered that we wouldn’t have had room for our meal. It was quite large. For her main Donna ordered Layered Ratatouille - oven-baked zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, tomatoes, and caramelized onions sliced and layered with quinoa served with a bell pepper sauce ($17.49.) Since she cares, not at all for zucchini normally, nor is she a big fan of eggplant, this quite surprised me. I had a bite and it was quite tasty, as she also stated. The recommended wine with this was a Chateau d’ Aqueria Tavel Rose’ ($10.00). Donna doesn’t normally do Rose’ but she didn’t notice that when she ordered it. She said it was good, but that she wouldn’t order it again. She wasn’t quite sure why they matched that up with the Ratatouille but I can fully understand, having lived 13 years in Europe. Now normally I will not order steak at WDW, unless I am at Yachtsman, and even there don’t order one all the time. However, Roberto’s description of the steak made it sound delicious. Therefore I ordered Grilled Strip Steak - with garlic-herb butter and pommes frites ($32.99). It also came with thin, steamed green beans. This steak was absolutely superb and cooked to order (medium rare). The recommended wine with my dinner was a Louis Jadot Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy ($17.00). Next the dessert cart came around. I ordered a Lemon-Raspberry Cream Puff -filled with lemon custard (Dessert is gluten-free and No Sugar Added $3.99) and Donna passed. Next, on the house, came the Gray Stuff. It is blended Oreos and whipped cream and is served in a small dollop. All in all it was a great meal. With our TIW, it came to $150 with tax, TIW tip and additional tip. Would we go back? You bet.

Next, our final Disney Meal and the Auto Train home.

BOG sounds great John....can`t wait for our dinner there, but Disney sure does hike up the cost of wine doesn`t it? Still what the heck, I won`t be driving that evening as we will be staying at the GF.
