We have all been expecting that Disney will start offering different levels of FP+ service and it seems like this may become a reality.

This Spring, Disney will start supplying bonus FP+s to Guests staying at Deluxe Resorts or concierge level and eventually to any Guest that is willing to pay for the privilege.

I personally don't like the sound of this at all.

    Not nice at all

I wonder what the incentives will be for staying on site, if any at all... Extra magic hours?
Will they offer any fpp to all onsite guests? Annual pass holders? Dvc members?

It's really hard. I've had more conversations than I can count around Disney should be open equally to everyone but in truth there has always been more things for people who pay more. You can stay onsite and get extra magic hours, stay close to the parks, you could pay for a vip tour and get escorted onto all the rides, heck pay enough and you can shut the park down for just you and your friends.

So let's speculate that everyone gets the same opportunity to get the same base level of fastpass that they've always had in some way. Then if you pay more, stay in deluxe, have a dvc or, dare I dream, have an AP!, you get a few more. I'm not sure I see a problem with that.

I have no problem with people paying more getting more.

I just hope that Disney's implementation doesn't make offsite guests like second class citizens. There are loads of people with annual passes who don't say on site and more still that like to stay in villas rather than hotels. Disney has opened a few suites like the Art of Imagination, but they still have a way to go before they reach the accommodation of a rented villa... Biased as I am towards villa rentals.

As a villa convert I can see how much staying offsite is being "penalised" now. Yes I agree fully that if you pay more you should get more but there has to be a limit. It's not just Disney though - Universal had nightmare lines last year because their hotel guest gets FOL access and you had to pay ridiculous amounts for an Express Pass (which we didn't) to get similar access. Islands of Adventure suffered particularly with this - 90 minute standby lines were the norm there.

I was always onsite until a few years ago when everyone here convinced me to try a Villa with car and I've not looked back! I *LOVE* the whole villa experience and it's completely changed how our Orlando holidays work.

I don't really feel like a second class citizen because of not staying onsite, at the moment anyway! Sure onsite get some perks such as extra magic hours and it's to be expected IMHO. I kinda wish there was an option to pay another $30 or something and get into EMH though.

I guess it's all about balance and perspective.

I feel more indignant about being a Disneyworld regular, with an AP, coming thousands of miles and yet being given nothing special for *that*. Heck, we don't even get the AP newsletter in the UK :/ I really feel that regulars, whether local floridians or those of us who come from far away, deserve something for our loyalty! Heck, we kept them going in the dark 2001 years.

Perhaps if they use things like fastpass+ to reward AP, DVC etc. then it won't be just as black&white as "onsite=loved, offsite=ignored"

oh I should've added, you were all right! I *LOVE* the villa+car and would never go back to full holiday onsite even if they DID have fastpasses and the like. I'd just do less Disney.
