the pedestrian way from SARATOGA SPRINGS to DOWNTOWN DISNEY is to close due to new construction
Is that permanent do you know Robert? I can see that being disappointing if you're staying there and like the walk
No it's because of the construction at DOWNTOWN DISNEY a new walkway won't be ready till next year
The reason the pedestrian way is closing is that Village Lake is going to be expanded and when this is finished, a new walkway will be constructed. There will also be a new pedestrian bridge that spans the lake. Construction will be completed by summer of 2014.
I don't really see how walking from SSR to DTD can be prevented? I know there is a "designated way," but to not be able to walk along the grassy edge is impossible.
It's a simple matter of going out the gate and turning right...
Spanning the lake will be nice. There is one walkway already that goes from the SSR side to the DTD side, but that is considered part of the golf course, although pedestrians can walk along it. Brings you out to the west side of DTD.
