A little news about the renovation of the Polynesian Resort has been announced today by Walt Disney World Resort President George A. Kalogridis. The Polynesian Resort will revert to it's original name of the Polynesian Village Resort which is the original name of the Resort when it opened in 1971. An artist's impression of what the new reception lobby will look like has been revealed, looking at the picture, the lobby will be completely different and very inviting once all the renovation works are completed. The renovation also includes a new food and beverage experience opening for Guests next year, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto will be based on the popular themed lounge at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.
